Albert Murray, CEO, has more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in juvenile/criminal justice and parole board operations. He served as Commissioner of Juvenile Justice in two states, Deputy Commissioner of the prison system in another state, and worked as a juvenile caseworker/counselor early in his career. He served as Superintendent of a Juvenile Correctional facility in his native state of Tennessee. This afforded him the opportunity to learn the industry from the entry level up and gain tremendous insight along the way as he reached the top of the industry. He later served as Assistant Commissioner of Youth Services in Tennessee and oversaw the accreditation of all juvenile facilities in the state. Albert Murray is recognized by the American Correctional Association (ACA) as among the “best in the business” and in 2009 was awarded the E.R, Cass Award for lifetime achievement in the field of corrections. This very distinguished national award is given to only a select few professionals who have achieved outstanding success over a long period of time. A retiree from government service in 2016, Mr. Murray has remained very active in the criminal justice arena and has kept abreast of changes and innovations coming on line in recent years. He has maintained a connection with many colleagues and is a lifetime member of ACA. Mr. Murray has built many partnerships, alliances, and models by which the criminal justice system has greatly benefited. In early 2020, he had a vision to give more structure and consistency to the volunteer work he has performed since retirement, and founded Albert Murray Consulting LLC. This business is registered through the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, and will establish itself as a business in high demand going forward.
