EDUCATION:

Mr. Murray earned a BS Degree in English from Tennessee State University in Nashville and a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He has completed numerous executive training courses in leadership and supervision. He is also trained and certified by ACA as an auditor and has conducted accreditation audits at state and federal prisons, boot camps, 

juvenile correctional facilities, group homes, and halfway houses. These audits were performed in a number of state jurisdictions to include New York, Ohio, Kentucky and Alaska.

CONSULTING EXPERIENCE/SPECIALIZED SKILLS:

Mr. Murray is CEO of Albert Murray Consulting LLC and is registered as a small business through the Georgia Secretary of State. He has been contracted to perform consulting services with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Newton County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia, and has previously conducted many accreditation audits for ACA. During his years in government, Mr. Murray was contracted by ACA to perform consulting services with the Alabama Department of Youth Services. Mr. Murray is skilled in building partnerships and coalitions, career counseling, new agency startup, program development, crisis management, and troubleshooting among other things.

MEMBERSHIPS/PERSONAL DATA

Mr. Murray serves Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Georgia Piedmont Technical College and also serves on the Board of Directors at Springfield Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Rockdale County and a former member of the Board of Directors for the local YMCA. He was included among Who’s Who in Black Atlanta in 2018.
