Mr. Murray earned a Bachelor of Science in English from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He has also completed numerous executive-level training programs in leadership, management, and supervision.

In addition, Mr. Murray is a certified accreditation auditor through the American Correctional Association (ACA). In this capacity, he has conducted accreditation audits across a wide range of correctional and residential facilities, including state and federal prisons, boot camps, juvenile correctional institutions, group homes, and halfway houses. His work has spanned multiple states, including New York, Ohio, Kentucky, and Alaska.

Mr. Murray is the Chief Executive Officer of Albert Murray Consulting, LLC, a registered small business with the Georgia Secretary of State. Through his firm, he has provided consulting services to a variety of public sector agencies, including the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to his private consulting work, Mr. Murray has been engaged by the American Correctional Association (ACA) to conduct accreditation audits and consulting services, including work with the Alabama Department of Youth Services during his tenure in government.

Mr. Murray is actively engaged in civic and community leadership. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Georgia Piedmont Technical College and is a member of the Board of Directors at Springfield Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia.

He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Rockdale County and has previously served on the Board of Directors for the local YMCA. In recognition of his leadership and contributions to the community, Mr. Murray was honored as part of Who’s Who in Black Atlanta in 2018.
